It is a beginner to intermediate level trek, and its definitely worth doing once in your life time. Through this video I wanted to share with you the whole trekking journey, and show you the beauty of the Himalayas. Experience some breathtaking landscapes, and snow capped mountains. I did it through Kailash Rath, because it was a cheaper option as they gave us a discount. But I hear that IndiaHikes is awesome!! We started from Bangalore, took a flight to Delhi. Then a bus to Manali. Stayed in Manali for a day, to explore around. Then left to Kasol by bus to report to the trek organiser. Day 1 Kasol is where our trek started. Beautiful place filled with all sorts of people from hippies to hard core trekkers. The vibe of this place got us geared up for the trek. The first day, mostly we trekked through a dense pine forest, and moderately steep rocks. At the end of the day we reached a camp site in Grahan (2:38) Day 2 Today’s goal is to reach a camp at Min Thatch. Every day we trekked for about 8 hours, with a couple of breaks on the way. The camp site was truly mind blowing. See for yourself @ 4:39 . We could get so close to the mules. They were so much like humans, the way they took care of each other, and worked hard for their food. Day 3 I would say Min Thatch to Nagaru was the second most beautiful portion of the trek. But the most difficult portion, because of the steep areas. The Nagaru camp was at the highest camp site in this trek, and so we felt like living there for an eternity. We also experienced hail fall where we camped. 06:40. Day 4 This would probably be the longest trekking day. We trekked for 10 hours on this day. Started early morning before sun rise, and by noon we were at Sar Pass. The feeling of reaching the top is on a different scale. Just out of this world. You really do become a new person altogether. The new confidence instilled in you, makes you want to take up any adventure available. Then the trek got easier as it was more on plains. By the end of the day we reached Biskeri Thatch. Day 5 All downhill, we were most of the time sliding down like Bear Grylls. So we reached Kasol by noon. I hope this video inspires you to go on such treks. More importantly, I hope it inspires you to enjoy nature to the fullest. We have so many beautiful places in India, that we don’t realise. Thats why many people think about foreign countries when considering a vacation. Sar Pass is just one of the many available treks in India. But this one is definitely very unique and more suitable for beginners and intermediates. I also recommend the Roopkund Trek, because it offers more variety in terrain. All this was shot on my iPhone (except a couple of drone shots borrowed from Kailash Rath.)
