He is suspected of blasphemy after juggling in front of the Holy Virgin’s altar, but he is saved when the statue, delighted by his skill, miraculously comes to life. The album is named after Walt Whitmans poem A Clear Midnight and this piece is also dedicated to the composer Frank Martin. The rest of the album explores using new tunings, the sextuplet tremolo, a palindrome (the 8th piece can be played backwards or forwards and still sound the same) and just impressions from the world we live in from my own perspective.
