The Royal Enfield Classic 350 crosses the border in to Lancashire and a massive rainstorm.

I wanted a ride out but couldn’t really think of anywhere to go. So, I looked on the map and spotted an area in Lancashire I hadn’t ridden before. I picked a place at random and got Calimoto to plan the route for me. I didn’t look at the route, just put the phone in my pocket and set off listening to the voice directions in the helmet. Am I glad I did, after riding through some old mill towns it turned me onto little Ivy size roads that hugged the contours of the hills down into valleys then up over open moorland, tree lined tracks and following streams it was magical. Then it all changed, the brewing storm dumped all its contents on us, it was so heavy it ran down my leathers and filled my boots with water, then I felt it start to come through he leathers. Lightning and thunder were too close for my liking, I decided to get the hell off the moor. On my way home, the rain stopped, and the sun came out and dried me out. The moral is, always have some waterproofs with you! Grab your cuppa and let’s go for a ride.
