Continuing the hike through the Tonquin Valley, going from Switchback camp to Maccarib camp! Unfortunately, thick smoke rolled in over night and covered a lot of the great views, but it was still an interesting day. The camera picked up way more detail than I could see in person too! This part is generally supposed to be the spectacular section. As you pass by Amethyst Lake, you are greeted by the Ramparts mountain range which tower over the valley. The massive amounts of berry bush fields are also a common place to see bears.
