The Fanciest Helmets of WWII: Painting Warlord Games' Bersaglieri! [How I Paint Things]

Bersaglieri are each skilled marksmen and soldiers trained for the peak of physical fitness. Formed in 1836 in the Kingdom of Sardinia - later the Kingdom of Italy - they were intended as highly mobile light infantry, capable of filling the skirmishing and shock role usually assigned to units such as dragoons. The tale goes that the feathers on their hats were originally intended as a shade for the sharpshooter's eyes, and they've remained a mark of distinction worn by the elite of Italy's armed forces to this day. The new plastic Bersaglieri kit from Warlord Games is packed with options for fielding these elite Italian troops on the field. With a couple of Breda machine guns and a wealth of SMGs and carbines on each sprue, they can be tooled up for close encounters or long range fire support depending on how you want them to fit into your army - and with all the tropical hats and helmets you'll need to give them their distinctive black capercaillie feathers!
