Stop 2 on Day 1 of my road trip through Uganda was at Murchison Falls National Park. The drive from Ziwa to the Park is 179 Km we barely made it on time for the boat cruise on the Nile to view the fall floor and the experience the wildlife on the banks of the river Nile and in the river. My cruise was with Wild frontiers - it definitely an experience I recommend. A bit about the park Murchison Falls National Park sits on the shore of Lake Albert, in northwest Uganda. It’s known for Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. Park wildlife includes elephants and hippos, and there are chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to rare shoebill storks.
