I've tried out the demo for the PlayStation 4 version of the upcoming Visions of Mana! My brief thoughts on the demo? Combat is pretty fluid. Camera controls can be a bit wonky during combat, mainly because I'm not locking onto the target. Even then, when I did lock on, it doesn't quite maintain focus on the enemy. Some slightly unclear mechanics, but that might have been my struggle while recording this late at night while being exhausted. Mainly came while trying to activate the stones around the fields of Fallow Steppe. I activated the first, but could never get any others. I assume because I needed different things equipped, but wasn't sure and didn't feel like figuring it out. Some pixilation during FMV sequences on parts of clothing. Some framerate stuttering occurred during them as well. Mainly after boarding the Primm. Overall, minor issues in the grand scheme of things that would not take away from my enjoyment of the game. Developed by Ouka Studios, and published by Square Enix, Visions of Mana is an action JRPG. You play as Val, protecting Hinna, while on their way to the sacred Tree of Mana. In your party are the animal-like pairings of Morley and Careena.
