LOURNA DEE & OPPO RANCISIS Were Once...Friends?!-Lourna Dee, known by the code Unit 4978/7179 and the pseudonyms Inun and Sal Krost, was a Twi'lek female who held the rank of Tempest Runner in the marauder organization known as the Nihil. One of three Tempest Runners, Dee led a Tempest and commanded a cruiser, which she named Lourna Dee after herself. Prior to joining the Nihil, Lourna had been royalty, enslaved, and a Galactic Republic cadet. She was around forty years old when the Great Hyperspace Disaster occured, which led the way for the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro, to take control of the organization. After Lourna Dee led the Nihil attack on Valo's Republic Fair, the Republic mistakenly believed her to be the Eye of the Nihil. Following the Battle of Galov, Dee was taken into Republic custody and sentenced to ten years aboard the prison ship Restitution. After some time aboard as a prisoner, Lourna commandeered the Restitution and renamed it the Lourna Dee. Oppo Rancisis was a Force-sensitive Thisspiasian male Jedi Master who served on the Jedi Council during the High Republic Era, Invasion of Naboo and the Clone Wars. He was known to be one of the wisest members of the Council. He was respected for his quiet wisdom and devotion to the Force and was a survivor of the initial Great Jedi Purge. Tempest Runner was a position held by leading members of the Nihil, anarchistic raiders who were organized into three main divisions called Tempests, which each had its own Runner who wielded total control. Tempest Runners were responsible for leading their respective Tempests and lining the pockets of the Nihil in their Tempest, although everything in the organization revolved around Marchion Ro, the Eye of the Nihil, during the High Republic Era. The role of Tempest Runner could not be usurped; if the Runner did not appoint a successor and was killed, the Runner's Storms would share leadership of the Tempest. Pan Eyta, Kassav Milliko, and Lourna Dee were Tempest Runners who worked alongside Ro during the time of the Great Hyperspace Disaster. Each Tempest Runner had a vote in Nihil-related matters. Following the Battle of Kur, Ro took sole leadership of the Nihil, though the Tempest Runner position still existed, albeit under his command. Ro appointed Zeetar as the new third Tempest Runner after the death of Milliko and his Tempest during the Battle of Kur. Around a year later, Eyta was presumed dead after the Battle of Cyclor, and his place was taken by Kara Xoo.
