Our 2018 JLU Rubicon Conquers the Pearl Pass Snow Drifts

Part Two of our final adventure on 37" tires! So after tearing up Chinaman Gulch and conquering the gatekeeper of Grizzly Lake, we decided to tackle Pearl Pass for final trail on the 37" tires. We expected an easy peasy trail filled with beautiful views. Little did we know, there several snow drifts still blocking the trail. About a mile from the summit, we ran into a few other Jeepers coming back down the trail who were kind enough to let us know that the trail was blocked by a 50 foot snowpack right before the summit. It was apparently impassable. So we decided to go check it out for ourselves. When we got there, it was to find two other guys on 4x4s trying to figure out a way across the snow drift. We offered to help by lending them our shovel...and well, as you can see, things just escalate from there. After watching the 4x4s make it across, Kevin couldn't resist giving it a shot in the JLU Rubicon! Although the difficulty of this trail was solely due to the snow drifts, it was still an incredible experience. Highly recommend it to any off-roader!
