Fishing Hythe Ranges| Thornback Ray on a live bait?| Sea Fishing Kent Oct 2021🎃

Hey all, Decided to fish the Hythe Ranges on the Saturday before Halloween 🎃 First things first I walked down the beach to check for the red flag and have a look on the information board. This being a active MOD firing range I had to make sure there was no chance of being shot!! Red flag down and the information board showing no firing that day I knew I was safe to fish! Back to the car to collect Bandit and meet Simon. Walked up the top of the beach where a small path was usable stopping only to admire the numerous bullet holes in the Martello towers from stray bullets or deliberate pot shots and found a spot and set up. I used 2 rods with the goal of going one far out and one close in. The whiting and doggies started up straight away so decided to change tactics. Before long the rod started to nod! as soon as a leaned in I knew what was on the line! Nothing feels quite like pulling a Ray out of the sea. A steady stream of 4lb + female ray's came through the night. No males I noticed?? A good night's fishing all in all, Hope you enjoy the video!
