Apple Butter Recipe: 5.5 lbs apples (I used Honey Crisp), cored, and sliced 1 3/4 cups brown sugar 2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 3 tablespoons vanilla Mix all together in a big pot. Simmer on low for 8-10 hours (I let mine sit after this, covered overnight with the stove turned off). Spoon the cooked apples into a blender, and puree until smooth. Pour into jars, and can.
