Molini MTB 2024 - Day 4: Wet then dry then hail all while riding a million switchbacks!

It's a long video (probably should come with an intermission) but I didn't know what to cut out. All sorts going on, nose wheelies (not me obviously), crashes, riders wildly abandoning their clothes for some naked swimming (thankfully not caught on GoPro), lots of river/bridge action and an idiot punching a tree. Yes that idiot was me. I've included a slow-mo to show quite how idiotic it was! Started off in damp conditions on a 'rustic' trail of 11km length. So much work put in by the trail builders especially on the switchbacks. Sadly I still had to edit out quite a few where although points could be awarded for trying my best, no score other than zero would be awarded for making it round. We still rode - I dunno - felt like about a 100. I always say how much I love riding in Molini, but if you don't like riding switchbacks, it won't love you back :) After running a bit late due to Esra fitting an entirely inappropriate tyre the night before and getting a couple of punctures, we ended up back in Molini on a fab trail that joined one we know well. So much fun Reze and I did the stream crossings twice. Post lunch with the weather coming in, we rode another adventure trail out of the main valley. That was going pretty well until the rain came, then the hail which was properly painful, then a ride back in conditions suitable only for trout and other deep aquatic swimmers :) Sadly my GoPro needed a battery change and there was no way that was happening! Added a Vid and some pics from Steve's phone to give you an idea of how wet it was. But it was wetter than that. A lot wetter! Before my GoPro died, I did get some footage of Reze on his 120mm hardtail. Man's an absolute legend for riding that all week!
