Cord and Bo arrive in Austria and apply for visas at the Mendorran embassy. As they wander the streets of Vienna waiting for their paperwork to be processed, a group of men tries to abduct them. After losing their would-be abductors, Bo tells Cord his Plan B: Bo’s contacts at the State Department have set them up with visas and they will pose as interns for an Austrian theatre company bringing set pieces to loan to the Mendorran ballet. They meet with a woman from the theatre, but she was only able to obtain one extra visa. Cord makes the case that he should use the visa, since authorities are on the lookout for Bo but not for Cord. Bo agrees, but says he’ll be hiding in the back of the truck. Lily tells Max if he won’t go see Gabrielle she’ll do it for him. He tells her not to go, and she placates him, but as soon as he is resting, Lily leaves to try and track down Gabrielle. Megan and Dorian bicker over breakfast before eventually coming to blows. The din attracts the attention of one of the guards, who comes in and tries to stop the ladies from fighting, but Dorian gets the jump on him and Megan manages to grab the man’s gun. She doesn’t know how to shoot it, but she does knock him over the head with it, rendering the man unconscious. Their plan to capture the guard a success, Dorian dons the guard’s uniform and attempts to roll Megan out of the castle inside an old brandy barrel which they had been using as a table. Unfortunately, Dorian is discovered before they manage to escape, and she and Megan, who is tipsy from the brandy fumes, are returned to their room in the tower. Father Vallone visits Gabrielle to try and get through to her, using a more combative approach than Sister Amelia did. Raymond and Sarah pretend to work on their ability to sell the story of their engagement, but they use the opportunity to discuss their predicament more frankly. Raymond tells Sarah he has some good news: his sight seems to have improved a bit, and he believes if he can get Raymond to take him to see Megan once more, he can identify where she is being held. Later, Raymond is able to convince his brother to take him to see Megan again. Gabrielle tells Andy they should sell the bar, but Andy says this place was Max’s dream and she still feels his presence here; she doesn’t want to part with it. Lily arrives, unseen by the two women, and hears them arguing over what to do with the bar. She leaves abruptly upon seeing Gabrielle’s outburst. After a few moments, Gabrielle apologizes for her overreaction and offers to sign the bar over to Andy to do with as she pleases.She is, after all, Max’s sister and deserves to have what was his. Roland, apparently fooled by Raymond’s attempts to make his blindness seem even worse than before, tells Megan and Dorian his brother has lost what little sight he had left. Raymond asks Megan if she is OK and she confirms that, physically at least, she and Dorian aren’t being mistreated. Raymond tells Megan he can’t see any way out of it and has to proceed with marrying Sarah. Raymond fakes faintness and asks Roland to bring him a chair. When Roland turns his back to Raymond, Raymond grabs him, covering his mouth, and holds a knife to the traitor’s throat. Roland questions whether his brother really has the nerve to kill him. At the Mendorran border a soldier asks Cord why an American is working for an Austrian dance company. He claims he got the job because his girlfriend is in the company and he is the jealous type. The guards aren’t convinced and ask Cord to step out of the vehicle and open the back. He does as he’s told and the guard laughs when he sees the racks of dance costumes in the truck. They give him back his identification and he drives safely across the border, smuggling Bo along with him.
