Beyond Helsinki | My Day in PORVOO FINLAND (Beautiful Medieval Town)

PORVOO FINLAND travel vlog: Travelling beyond Helsinki on a day trip to the medieval town of Porvoo where I take a walk around the old town & set off to find a castle on a trail by the river. 🇫🇮 See more of my travel vlogs from Finland here → http://bit.ly/mwt_finland Porvoo is a short bus journey from Central Helsinki and easy to get to and explore on a day trip, it’s a pretty little place with a wooden medieval old town, cobbled streets, a picturesque river and plenty of walking trails to follow if you feel like getting out of the town. My day in Porvoo started with a look around the tiny shops and old buildings in the town centre and continued close to the river when I was able to fly my drone and look up at Porvoo Cathedral on the hillside. Later I walked along the riverside and through a forested area to visit the ruins of an old castle, the trail taking me across wooden bridges and up towards the site. I’m really glad I spent the day in Porvoo and although initially being worried that I might run out of things to do I needn’t have worried - I was busy all day exploring the town and it’s history.
