But I do understand why so many people consider him to have had Growth Stunts in his career. Since high school he's been one of the top players in the country, but also since high school, he's been dealing with injuries that always kept him around 85% of his full potential. He still manage to become the top point guard prospect leaving high school. He chose UCLA over Kansas Georgia Tech and Duke. He had the unique combination of strength, size, speed athleticism and leadership qualities that made him the #3 overall pick even after suffering a torn ACL as a freshman. His NBA career didn't begin the way a 3rd pick should've, but by his second season he started to hone his skills and made the all star game by year 3. Also by then, his injuries started to pile up and become a regular storyline in his career, that never really stopped. Hip to ankle to knee, back, and more.
