Martha My Dear - The Beatles (Guitar And Bass Cover) - Epiphone Les Paul Lucy - Rickenbacker 4003s

Martha My Dear was recorded on October 4 and 5, 1968, this song only features Paul and George, with George playing his Gibson Les Paul Lucy and Paul playing the piano part, drums and bass (which I think he played his rickenbacker on this song), in addition to recording an overdub of handclaps. George's Unusual Chords: Something very interesting happens here and that is that George plays a couple of chords that were not common for that time and that were never played again in any other Beatles song. The first one we can hear is a Gm7 (0:36) to later add the 9th on the first string at the 5th fret (Gm7(9)) (0:39), these chords add an incredible tone and enrich the harmony (This chord will be played at different times throughout the guitar part (0:44, 1:11, 1:27). The next of these chords is an Abmaj7 (0:59), which is interspersed with a small leak on the 5th string of the first fret which is in the key of Bb. The last of these chords is a Dm7 (1:24), this type of "m7" chord was played in other songs, which is why it is the least "strange" in this song. This part of George is not so well known, since as many times in the mixing of the song they did not take it into account as much, but it is very interesting to listen to and decipher.
