Well you can break the word down and quickly see that it literally means vision – look at , re – again. So revision literally to have another look at. However this is not how you should do it! Let me give you a better definition of revision. It means to commit information to your long term memory so that you can access it and use it. You have a working memory and a long term memory. The function of good revision is to take information and store it in your long term memory so that you can access it and use it in your short term memory.
