I change out my oem mercury intake setup to a less restrictive P71 (police interceptor) intake box, snorkel, zip tube, and filter. You can perform the same upgrade on the Ford Crown Victoria, and I'm pretty sure on the Lincoln Town Car. I use a Spectre Performance Air Filter for the job. This will take you step by step on how to do the swap and air box modification. You can achieve this DIY project with some simple tools and parts, I believe in you!
