Welcome to the ENJOY 30 Days of Face Yoga Series! This series is made for all faces, heads, ages, genders, souls & radiant beings on Youtube. Today is Day 12: COURAGE “The secret to happiness is freedom…and the secret to freedom is courage.” – Thucydides Today’s workout is about balancing the kidney energy through our under eyes and ears. Through a Traditional Chinese Technology called Face Mapping - we can access the spleen energy through these areas of our face as well as our chin. When your kidney energy is balanced you are full of life and vitality, you are courageous, you are able to be alone without feeling lonely, the masculine and feminine parts of yourself are balanced, you have a will to survive and thrive, and you follow your destiny or highest timeline without much conscious thought and struggle. Physically you are hydrated, you get enough sleep, your hair and nails are healthy, you look well rested, you seem not to age, the area under your eyes is bright and healthy. When the kidney energy is out of balance you experience traumas such as fear, loneliness, isolation, anxiety, aloofness, weak willpower,short term memory loss, inability or fear of moving forward in life, directionless and the inability to follow through with plans. Physically you would see dark circles under the eyes, puffiness, dryness or rash under the eyes, dryness of the skin, hair and nails, premature graying of the hair hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, fatigue, dizziness, soreness and weakness in the lower back and knees, over or lack of sex drive, ringing in the ear and ear conditions, and overly craving salty foods. Today’s workout is focused on eyes to balance the kidney energy and has the following benefits: Tone and strengthen your eye muscles & lift droopy eyelids Increase volume in your circular orbicularis oculi muscle to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes Increase circulation around the eyes, bringing fresh blood and oxygen to the area to reduce dark circles and puffiness and clear any accumulated lymph from the area Release tension around your eyes Activate the lower, inner, and outer part of our eye muscles Reduce the stagnations and adhesions that cause crowsfeet Stretch all the muscles of the face Ear massage benefits: Helps with relaxation Helps with insomnia, anxiety and restlessness Boosts immune system Aids in feelings of general well-being (as does with all face yoga!!
