Today's video is all about tricks I learned as a non-pro handy-person while removing, cleaning, and replacing the rubber gasket on my LG front load washing machine. In this video I show you as much detail as possible in my process. I actually went to the home improvement store twice to buy a specific tool for this job. Both times I received a bit of a brush and was sent home with the wrong tools! So I used jewelry tools and some ingenuity to get the rubber gasket back on, because that is the toughest part of the whole process! I will also note that I saw many videos that said it was too complicated/not necessary to remove the front panels of the washer in order to get the rubber gasket back on. In my non-professional opinion, and as someone who did not have the specialized tools that would have made life easier, I heartily disagree. It was so easy to take off the front and top panels of the washer, and once I did, there was sooooo much more room to work with. I hope this video helps any of you who want to remove, clean, and replace your rubber gasket, and that are intimidated because you aren't professional handy people!
