In addition to the adventurous water world, the AQUApark Oberhausen has four superlative slides. The latest slide - also known as the "Miner's Slide" - made the AQUApark's offer even bigger in spring 2019. Slide enthusiasts from all over come to test the slides and experience the thrill of speed. Especially in summer, the outdoor pool area is impressive with its spacious sunbathing area (10,500 sqm). Sun and good mood and a pleasant atmosphere are pre-programmed. Of course, there is also a comprehensive offer for the sporty. Do your lengths in the sports area and promote your fitness with our diverse range of courses. Climb the 13 meter high slide shaft and go full throttle on our two superlative slides called "Blindschacht" and "Tagesschacht". Our slide paradise has grown since mid-2019 and we are proud to present our "Miner's Slide". This complements our attractions via a separate entrance (behind our canteen in the pool) and is the new highlight of the pool. Our flying slide starts from the winding tower - the center of the pool - and allows, as the name suggests, a short flight phase before diving into the water surface ◦ Blind Shaft (105 meters Black Hole) Our 105 m long black hole slide, a slide for the whole family, is hidden under the name blind shaft. This slide contains special passages of excitement, which offers additional attraction with darkness and LED curve lighting. ◦ Day shaft (120 meters X-Tube) The longest X-Tube slide in NRW is called the Tagschacht. With its 120 m, it transports 1 - 2 people down the shaft in rubber tires. Its width also enables overtaking maneuvers. Partial areas of the slide are translucent, hence the name Tagschacht. ◦ Miners' slide (80 meter racer slide) The miners' slide, which was created on the 9,000 square meter outdoor pool area on the side of the dome hall, is intended to satisfy the desire for adventure among the bathers of the AQUApark even more in the future. ◦ Flight slide at the winding tower The flying slide begins in the center of the adventure area from a platform of the 18 m high winding tower and ends at breakneck speed in the leisure pool with a free fall of 1.5 m.
