3G TACOMA DIY : Installing an ARB Air Compressor : Under the Hood

I installed a bracket and on-board ARB Air Compressor under the hood of my 3G Toyota Tacoma! See how I did it all by myself...including the wiring...and IT WORKS! I purchased the single ARB Compressor which was all I felt was needed for my needs. I chose to purchase the GTFO Expedition - ARB Twin or Single Compressor Bracket for 2016 + Toyota Tacoma from ROGUE Off-Road ($120) https://www.rogue-offroad.com/product... I figured out the hard way to install the compressor onto the bracket BEFORE installing it at the location I chose. It will be very difficult to bolt on the compressor when the bracket is in place. The wires were fairly easy once laid out. Originally I was going to put the switch next to the compressor but because I needed to connect the fuse box under the dash, I felt it was better to put the switch in the dash. I pushed the switch wires thru the firewall. If you go along side the rubber at this point, made sure you use something to protect the wires. The edge of the hole will eventually damage the wires. Where I installed the switch, there is a need to use a Dremel to trim the inner part of the dash. If you look inside the hole, you will see the edge I am talking about. It is a simple task. The fuse box is easy to access under the dash. You will need to make sure you have the mini adapters to make a single circuit into a double. Don't forget you will also need a second 5amp and 10amp mini fuse to make it work. the 5amp is for the switch light. This light is a little bright for me and I am considering disconnecting this wire from the fuse box. I don't really need the light. Hopefully, this video is helpful if you are considering this install. It took me a while but it was not hard if you take your time. Now to clean up the wires. Thank You for watching! #natureszoom #dyi #aircompressors
