"어쩔 수 없는 척, 너무 바쁜 척하지 않아도 돼 아무도 신경 안 써 마음껏 망가져, 우린 원래 흠뻑 젖는걸 좋아했잖아" 도빛의 두번째 싱글 비(Be)는 아무런 조건 없이 사랑받던 어린 시절에 대한 동경을 담은 곡이다. 그저 존재만으로 사랑 받는 시절이 있다. 어린 시절 두 눈을 감고 조용히 내리는 비를 느끼던 나를 마냥 사랑스러운 눈빛으로 바라봐주던 첫사랑을 떠올린다. 이제는 몸만 커버린 어른, 누구의 눈치도 보지 않고 마음껏 맞았던 비에 대한 그리움을 담았다. 여름비가 연상되는 싱그러운 사운드에 어른인 채로 어린 마음에 동조를 구하는 조금은 투정 섞인 도빛의 목소리가 이 노래 전반의 개연성을 만든다. 그때의 내가 되고 싶다는 의미를 담아 영어 제목은 동일한 발음의 Be로 정했다. It reminds me of my first love, who looked at me with loving eyes as a child when I felt the rain falling quietly with my eyes closed. The song depicts an adult whose body only has grown bigger misses to get rained without caring for others’ gazing eyes. The fresh sound that reminds of summer rain is combined with the voice of DoBeat, who is a bit pouty, seeking sympathy as an adult with a child in her mind to make the overall probability of the song. As ‘Rain’ in Korean and the English word ‘Be’ as in ‘want to BE the person at the time’ are homonyms, it becomes the English title.
