Why doesn't Glen Garioch get talked about? Within the indie bottling world, Glen Garioch is an easily accessible and relatively affordable whisky, albeit from infinitely refilled bourbon casks. But why aren't the distillery offerings talked about? Not even by the distilleries owners? It seems as if Glen Garioch, despite the investment, has been left to one side while Auchentoshan gets more attention. Just doesn't seem right to me. This is their 12YO offering. Not natural colour, but is unfiltered and bottled at 48%, what's to dislike on the forefront of this? A healthy combination of sherry and bourbon casks is fuelling this wonderfully forward and fruity profile. It's honestly so tasty that it's rather criminal that we don't even talk about it that much.
