[Bus Spotting - E33] After another gap of travelling, I got down into the West Midlands again for my next trip, to visit Kidderminster. I've been here a few times in the past, and never properly explored the bus scene there. This is of course due to the fact that the Severn Valley Railway is based here, but nonetheless, it was finally time to see it. As it turns out, it is a great place for Rotala stuff, with a good number of Plaxton Centros for them being based here, as well some more unique vehicles for the operator, such as the Optare MetroCity. The fleet was quite a few colours last time I visited, but almost all of the vehicles carrying colours of previous operators seem to now carry the Diamond Two-tone scheme, which is good to see. We also see one of the 20-plate Streetlites that has already been pulled from the 16 in Birmingham City Centre, which was a bit of a shock to find out. Vehicles we saw here include; • Diamond West Midlands Alexander Dennis E20D/ Enviro 200s. an Alexander Dennis Dart SLF/ Pointer 2. an Optare MetroCity V1080MC. an Optare Solo M920. Optare Solo SRs. Volvo B7RLE/ Plaxton Centros. a Volvo B7RLE/ Wright Eclipse Urban. a Wright SA9DSRXXX19/ Streetlite DF. • Yarrantons Brothers a Mercedes-Benz O295/ Citaro. • Wyre Forest Dial-a-Ride a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 516Cdi/ Treka 16. • and a vehicle from Wyvern Omnibus that I couldn't get the details of.
