If this happens, either the concrete contains a significant amount of air, or your apparatus has leaked during the test. Add calibrated cups of water to bring the water level up into the neck so its level can be measured. Record the number of cups added, and add to the final air content at the end. Example: 9% air reading + 2 calibrated cups added during the test = Final reading of 11% air entrainment.
