Each these 27 Nakshatra has specific Excelling Deity associated with. Ras Tree originates from twins. Twins here means Ashwin kumaras the first Nakshatra Ashwini (Aśvinī) named after the twin deity Aśvin. Ras in Sanskrit means liquid; at some places ras tree it is translated as Coconut tree and reference of pomegranate tree also found.
