Twenty years ago, one of the first universities I visited was the University of Wollongong. So it's a little ironic that UoW is the last university for which I'm creating one of Choosing Your Uni's unbiased uni reviews! And in some ways I feel like I've kept one of the best for last! There's something to be said for Australia's universities outside the major capitals: universities that understand their regions and their communities, locations where the pace of life (and stress!) is just that little bit slower, but where you can get an excellent education all the same.
