inspiration car Darrarq 200 - CycleKart Cyclecar

All parts for my autumn - winter project ☃️ 🥰 "Darracq 200" 🥰 have been collected in the "Wulli Cycklekart Garage 🧰🪛🔧🔧⚙️🔩⛓️💡🛢️🧰👨‍🏭". I'm looking forward to building the Cycklekart 🙃🙂😇. …… Darracq manufactured the vehicle in 1905. It was used to set land speed records in 1905 and 1906. It is probably the first racing car with a V8 engine and the first car to be officially measured at over 200 km/h, which is what the model name refers to. The car is also known as the Darracq V8. In 1904, Darracq was successful in racing with four-cylinder engine racing cars with over 12 liters of displacement and 80 hp, including the Gordon Bennett Coupe. Victor Hémery was hired as chief test driver, and his mechanic was Victor Demogeot. Hémery suggested an engine twice as large in order to keep up with the best. The chief designer Ribeyrolles was of the opinion that two engines would double the power, so he experimented with a twin-engine racing car. However, the vehicle became too heavy, and the synchronization problems between the engines and with the gearbox could not be solved at the time. In order to avoid the complex problems with synchronization and power transmission and to save weight, Ribeyrolles came up with the idea of placing the cylinder blocks on a common crankcase. The pistons moved a common crankshaft. When it became apparent that the two four-cylinder blocks worked most effectively when they were arranged at an angle of 45°, a V8 configuration with a fork angle of 90° was created. The camshaft and crankshaft were taken from four-cylinder racing engines and a common crankcase was constructed. Each cylinder had a bore of 170 mm and a stroke of 140 mm, giving a displacement of 25,422 cc.[1][2] Each cylinder bank received a carburetor of in-house design. The engine produced 200 hp. The frame was supplied by Arbel, the radiator by Grouville & Arguemborg. The radiator is V-shaped. The petrol tank is barrel-shaped and mounted behind the seats. The petrol is pumped by overpressure, which the mechanic has to build up with an air pump. The car weighs 900 kg or 990 kg #predator212 #gokart #cycklekart #cyclekart #automobile #motorcycle #fabricate #toy #honda #Wiltec #seifenkiste #hobby #funny #funnyvideos #rasenmähermotor #germany #wiltec #pitbike #pitbikeracing #racing #racingcar #vintag #darraca #1906 #v8 #v8power #v8sound
