Research Integrity in Medical Education: Lessons from the Tuskegee Experiment

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the uncovering of the Tuskegee syphilis study. The history of these experiments provides important lessons not just on research ethics, but the value of individuals in both propagating and preventing human rights abuses. This webinar will be an interactive, moderated discussion with our expert panelists and will focus on the lessons that can be applied to modern medical education and medical education research. The webinar will highlight the important role medical trainees play in calling out abuses as well as how their vulnerable positions put them at risk of advertently and inadvertently propagating ethics violations.
