The Sea Cliff Bridge is a feature of the final races of the 2022 UCI road world championships. This glorious stretch of road is only 10km from Helensburgh, where the elite road races for women and men will begin. There will be a brief neutral zone, though to the end of the steep descent from Bald Hill, and kilometre zero will be at Stanwell Park, only 5km from the Sea Cliff Bridge. On 10 June 2022, when it was 100 days until #Wollongong2022, there was an opportunity to ride the course with the Safety Officer of the worlds, Mark Renshaw. I joined for the early stanza (and then had mechanical troubles, and abandoned while the others in my bunch continued through to Wollongong).
