High HP Chevelle!! 70 Chevelle SS 735hp Review & Test- Drive

Take a look at this! On the lot now is this High hp Chevelle Restomod, just waiting to get back out onto the road again. Upon first glance of this car, one is sure to see that it is far from stock. The subject of a frame-off restoration, it shows that from the gleaming, detailed engine to the performance goodies under the hood, this Chevelle is one mean car. In 1970, sheet metal revisions gave the body of the Chevelle more coke-bottled styling, and interiors were also redesigned. This model year was the only year the Chevelle had this style of headlight and tail-light combination, making 1970 Chevelles highly desirable today. This one breathes absolute fire, with a massive, built 565 C.I. V8 engine using a Dart block and a Holley performance 4-barrel carburetor. Additionally, this one has been run on the dynamometer, clocking in at a breathtaking 753 horsepower on 91 octane pump gas! Of course, a special aftermarket transmission is needed to handle all those muscular horses being produced under the hood. Connecting the engine to the rear drive wheels is a CPT 2004R 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, designed to handle up to 1000hp. The rear end has to be able to put the power down, so a 35-spline Moser axle is in place with 3.73 gearing, ensuring that this Chevelle is ready to burn rubber at any given moment. Aside from the performance, this Chevelle is also gorgeous, with glimmering blue metallic paint and accompanying white rally stripes. On the inside, black vinyl trim adorns comfortable bucket seats and a center console for more added convenience. As said previously, this 1970 Chevelle restomod is fitted with plenty of performance options, including power steering, power 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, a Mark Williams driveshaft, Dakota Digital gauges, a Billit Specialties serpentine belt setup, an enormous aluminum radiator with dual "pusher" fans, a complete AFS wiring and fuse panel, a Flaming River steering column, tubular A arms, all-new smoked glass, and an extremely aggressive-sounding dual exhaust system. The car rides on a beautiful set of 18" Coys wheels on top of an aggressive set of 275/40R18 blackwall tires. Rest assured, this absolute monster of a car isn't for the faint of heart. The Chevelle in question is sure to not only haul ass, but to steal the show anywhere it is driven. If you think you've got what it takes to handle what this Chevelle is able to throw at you, then we think you'd look pretty good behind the wheel.
