Orange (Secondary Color) + Blue (Primary Color) = mix to a neutral. Add white and you can have a huge variety of tans and grays. Note: There are 6 basic Neutral Mixes. The first 3 are primary mixed with secondary colors. 1. Red + Green 2. Blue ‪@orange‬Orange 3. Violet (Purple) + Yellow The second 3 neutral mixes are secondary colors mixed with secondary colors. (Secondary colors are ALWAYS a combination of one primary color with one secondary colors) 1. Red Orange + Blue Green 2. Yellow Orange + Blue Violet 3. Red Violet + Yellow Green Conscious color mixing is learning the craft of color mixing without any of the guesswork. Artist's paints are expensive which makes "mistakes" intimidating for the beginning color mixer. Learn to mix the exact neutral browns and grays you intend. The three parts of color mixing are: 1.
