Support Morgaine on Patreon: / morgainerose_art Support Lois on Patreon: / loisdavidsonart It's Lois here today, please join me as I paint this beautiful sunset scene depicting the sunset through the trees in this forest clearing, trying to capture the unique beauty and glow of the fresh reflected sunlight as it sets and lights up the scene. The focus is on painting loose, concentrating on tonal values and suggestion of detail rather than detail itself. It's an impressionistic loose watercolour painting using the wet in wet, then wet on dry methods and really simplifying the scene to create atmosphere rather than the detail. Materials: Saunders Waterford 140lb/300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper, 11" by 15"/28cms x 38cms. It is taped to my board and my board is at an angle of about 20- 45 degrees.
