Swapping from instant gas hot water to solar hot water was a no brainer for our off grid homestead. Not only is it better for the environment, but it's also saving us money. It ties in with the permaculture principals that we are trying to achieve with the property. I didn't mention in the video that the second hand system cost $800, the plumbing fittings and pipe was $400. So payback will be about one year.
