In this video I attempt to repair the second unit in a batch of three faulty Sega Game Gears that were donated to the channel. It does not however display anything on the screen when a cartridge is inserted. Similarly to Episode 1 of this Game Gear Repair-a-thon, I took the necessary step of recapping this unit to establish a healthy baseline and diagnose any issues further as needed. It turned out to be a VA4 model (compared to the VA1 from Episode 1, and the layout was a little different.
