Isolated showers this evening; Staying muggy and warm next week Welcome to November! We’re kicking off the month with unseasonably warm temperatures in the 80s and muggy conditions. We’ve even seen a few pop-up showers today, with more possible into the evening hours as we gear up for Friday night football. Looking ahead, we expect dry and warm conditions this weekend. Highs will be in the mid-80s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Next week, we’ll introduce a small chance of rain each day, with highs staying in the 80s and humidity remaining high. FRIDAY: Our chance of showers continues into Friday evening. We’ve been tracking a handful of showers on radar this afternoon, with more rain possible into the evening. Any rain showers that develop will be very isolated but could cause minor interruptions to outdoor plans. If you’re heading out to a football game—especially in the southern half of our viewing area—we recommend taking an umbrella just in case. However, most of us won’t need it. It’ll be a mild and muggy night with temperatures in the 70s. No cool fall football weather here! WEEKEND AND BEYOND: Rain chances drop to zero for the weekend, and afternoons will be very warm. Highs will stay in the 80s through the weekend and into next week. Winds will continue to be out of the southeast. Next week, moisture will continue to stream into our area. Eventually, we’ll see the return of rain chances to the Gulf Coast. Daily rain chances will be around 20 to 40%, with showers being very isolated. We’re not expecting noticeable rainfall totals over the next week, but any rain we get would be helpful for the severe drought conditions we’re currently experiencing. #alwx #mswx #flwx — — — — — FOX10 METEOROLOGIST NICHOLAS HERBOSO: Nicholas Herboso is the newest member of the FOX10 StormTracker Team.
