About the Flamenco Residency: The experience includes a dance trio, made up of Flamenco Flavor’s Laura Castellano, Monica Herrera,and Cristina Moguel, wearing handmade flamenco dresses. Singer and guitarist David M. Castellano accompanies the trio combining the modern and authentic sounds of legendary Spanish musicians such as Paco De Lucia, Vincente Amigo, Tomatito, Gypsy Kings and more. La Fería de Abril comes two weeks after Semana Santa, “Holy Week,” every year. The fair lasts one week and starts every year on El Lunes del “Pascaito” (also known as El Lunes del “Alumbrao”) and lasting through the week. This year, La Fería will happen from April 23 – April 29, during which Seville will deck out the fairgrounds with bright lights and colorfully striped casetas (“tents”). Every year, more than 1 million people come together to eat, dance, and celebrate the coming of spring.
