I’m in Shock - ASUS 240Hz MLA OLED w/ BFI (PG34WCDM Review) Alright fellas, today we’re taking a look at a new monitor from ASUS (the PG34WCDM) which on paper could be the best ultrawide OLED on the market, but is that the case in practice, or is it hot trash? Well today we’re gonna find out first by starting off with the specs And this is a 34”, 3440x1440, 240Hz, 800R curved 21:9, MLA WOLED Panel with an ALLEGED response time of 0.03ms, yes it’s Gsync & Freesync Compatible, and it has an HDR True Black 400 rating. In terms of a stand, it’s got one, and it does everything you’d expect, though the feet are pulling some real clown shoe energy. For the ports, pause if you need to, but yes it does have HDMI 2.1 support, yes it supports standard VESA mounts, and overall I actually really love the design aesthetic, especially the 800R curve which in my opinion greatly improves immersion on ultrawide monitors. But at a price of $1,299 with a 3 year warranty this monitor better impress me if I'm going to recommend it, because plenty of 34” QD OLEDs are available for under $1,000, and the additional refresh rate may not be enough to sway buyers, however, this monitor has a few extra tricks up its sleeve.
