Tesla Model Y Road Trip 1,000 Miles to Florida May 2022

After moving to Florida, we had to leave our Tesla Model Y in Indiana and come back to get it at some point. I left the roof rack on the car and filled the Tesla with a number of loose items that we didn't load into the truck. After about 2 weeks, I was finally able to get a last minute flight to Indiana to pick up the Model Y and drive it down to Florida. My dad was kind enough to drive the Tesla to the airport parking garage, where they plugged it in and I arrived to a nearly fully charged Tesla. This was last minute and meant that I was in Indy late at night. It was 1,000 miles to get to the rental house in central Florida, which means a number of stops along the way. I have traveled this route many times, but have never done a long trip with the roof rack on top of the car. Overall, the Tesla Model Y performed flawlessly as usual, and the range hit by having the roof rack was slightly less than expected. At an average under 370 wh/mi, while doing 80 MPH for most of the trip, this was another successful trip.
