In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. 2. Add egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth. 3. Add flour and salt. Stir until the dough comes together. 4. Cover the dough with a plastic foil and refrigerate for 1 hour. 5. Preheat oven to 350F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 6. Roll out the dough and cut out using a cookie cutter. I use a 2-inch cookie cutter. 7. Arrange the cookies on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 15 minutes. 8. Bake the cookies for 8-12 minutes. 9. Cool the cookies on a wire rack before serving.
