After getting 5 Crystals in one Warp Room, to go to the next, just go to the middle, wait until Crash poses upward, then press Up. The platform he's standing on will take him upward to the next Warp Room BUT, before that can happen, Crash must face a boss. The first boss is Ripper Roo, a returning boss from Crash 1. Based on Crash 1's Alternate Ending, Ripper went into study for eight years, or more likely had eight years worth of an education, since this game takes place one year after the first one. Crash fights Ripper Roo back at his lair, now upgraded to into a river-themed library. Ripper now has blonde, Einstein like hair, glasses, a bowtie, and a mustache, and starts fighting you for disturbing his reading time. At first, he just hops on his cane, creating TNT pads as he goes. When enough are on the field, he stops and looks at what he made. The TNT pad right below him eventually explodes, knocking off his gear and once again unleashing his true insane self. Then he just hops around the field like normal, and crates Nitro pads from under his feet. When enough of THOSE are placed, he then deliberately jump his last made pad and stuns himself. That's when Crash is able to hurt him directly. Repeat this two more times and you'll be Ripper Roo, probably for good. -------------- While the first Warp Room was mainly jungle/ruins-themed, the second Warp Room is ice-themed. Cortex appears again noticing that Ripper Roo failed to kill Crash again. An eclipse is close to approaching that threatens the Earth, and Crash still has 20 more Crystals to find for a total of 25. Coco gets to talk to Crash again, concerned with seeing her brother work with someone like Cortex. She still couldn't talk to Crash for long because a data path for the hologram she hacked into wore out on her. -------------- If you want to fight any boss again, including Ripper Roo, hold the Triangle button while you're ascending to the next Warp Room from the one you first ran into them.
