Ayesha was introduced to Hindustani Classical Music by her parents father Sri Arup Mukherjee and mother Smt. Monidipa Mukherjee. She started training under Sri Jagannath Majhi (disciple of Pt A. Kanan) at a very tender age. Her formal training started at Shrutinandan, Durgapur under tutelage of Smt. Swagata Das. Later, as she moved to Delhi for higher studies, she pursued her music training with Pt. Ritesh Mishra (son & disciple of Pt. Rajan Mishra) in Delhi. Presently she is training under Gurujee Padmabhushan Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty and simultaneously under Sri Deborshee Bhattacharjee (senior disciple of Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty). She is also a mentor at Shrutinanadan-NCPA , Mumbai. Ayesha was awarded the CITI- NCPA scholarship 2021-2023 for khayal from National Centre of Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai Ayesha secured first position in a music competition "Ekamsatt World music League" in 2020, judged by stalwart musicians including Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia, Vidushi Kaushiki Chakraborty, Shri Salim Merchant, Shri Ameya Dabli. Ayesha has performed at prestigious festivals like the thumri festival 2020, 2022, West Bengal state music conference 2023, to name a few. She has been accompanied by the very young and talented tabla player Bhavesh Gawai. He is a disciple of the tabla maestro shri Satyajit Talwalkar. And Ruthvik Rao has accompanied her on Harmonium, he is a student of PAAMF - PURBAYAN ARTS ARTISTS AND MUSIC FOUNDATION. Ayesha Mukherjee sang a very beautiful traditional thumri - " Bhavra, Hum Pardesi Log" in Raga Pilu in Jat Taal at the Baithak curated by the PAAMF - Purbayan Arts Artists and Music Foundation.
