An awesome day at New Carrollton Amtrak station, outside Washington D.C.!! We start our day at Baltimore with SB Carolinian Train #79 led by ACS-64 #636. We even see the Amtrak VIP coach "Beech Grove" at Union Station! 0:52 Northbound Acela Express races through with power cars #2010 and #2015 1:05 NB Northeast Regional led by ACS-64 #603 arrives with a friendly toot from the driver 2:37 Southbound MARC train arrives and departs, with a GP39H-2 #73 double heading with MP-36 #10! 3:47 SB Silver Meteor sneaks up on me and trundles through led by #617 (with a toot of the horn) 4:15 NB MARC with HHP-8 #4915 arrives (MARC has some of the last HHP-8s on the NEC!) 6:03 SB Acela Express rushes through with power cars #2038 and #2016 6:18 SB Regional led by ACS-64 #644 arrives 7:01 SB Regional arrives and departs, this time with #631 8:27 NB Acela RIPS through the station, almost knocking my camera over lol. Power cars 2006 and 20?? 8:48 We meet ACS-64 #636 again, as it arrives and departs with a NB Regional 11:06 SB MARC arrives, with MP-36 #29 on the rear 12:27 Our Northbound MARC to take us back to Baltimore, led by ANOTHER HHP-8, #4914!
