DELHI POLICE ​CRIME BRANCH ​​​​​​​ PRESS RELEASE ONE NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL & ‘PROCLAIMED OFFENDER’ IN TWO ROBBERY CASES & WANTED IN 2 CASES OF ARMS ACT, ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH ➢ He is Proclaimed Offender in 2 robbery cases of PS Sultapuri & Nihal Vihar, Delhi. ➢ He is also wanted in 2 Arms Act cases of PS Sultapuri, Delhi. ➢ Accused is Bad Character of PS Sultanpuri, Delhi. ➢ He has been previously involved in 17 cases of robbery, house theft, arms act, mv theft etc. INTRODUCTION:- Team of WR-I, Crime Branch has arrested a notorious criminal & Proclaimed Offender named Abhishek @ Cilender @ Narender, age-31 years r/o Block- D-1, Sultanpuri, New Delhi. Accused was declared Proclaimed Offender on 16.04.2024 by the Ld. Session Court, Rohini Court in a robbery case FIR No. 1174/2014, dated 15.10.2014, u/s 392/397/411/34 IPC & 25 Arms Act, PS Sultanpuri, New Delhi and declared Proclaimed Offender vide order dt 22.03.2023 by Sessions Court, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi in a robbery case FIR No. 933/2021, 392/394/397/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Nihal Vihar, Delhi. Ld. Court issued warrant against him in case 2 cases i.e., FIR No. 768/2020, dt 28.06.2020, u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Sultanpuri, Delhi and FIR No. 883/2019, dt 30.08.2019, u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Sultanpuri, Delhi. GIST OF INCIDENTS: 1. FIR No. 1174/2014, dated 15.10.2014, u/s 392/397/411/34 IPC & 25 Arms Act, PS Sultanpuri, Delhi In the intervening night of 14/15.10 2014, at approx. 12:30 AM, accused Abhishek @ Cilender @ Narender, along with his accomplices Parveen @ Ajju, Ajay @ Ajju and Kuldeep allegedly carried out a robbery targeting a pedestrian named Sammi. During the incident, they put a knife on the side of his stomach and threatened him. They robbed mobile phone, Rs. 3000/-, ATM card. They also further threatened him with dire consequences. 2. FIR No. 933/2021, 392/394/397/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Nihal Vihar, Delhi In the intervening night of 01/02.08. 2021 at about 8 PM, accused Abhishek @ Cilender @ Narender alongwith his accomplice Nishant @ Karan had hired the battery rickshaw of complainant Manish for a fare Rs. 200/-. When the complainant was driving his rickshaw in Nangloi, Delhi, one of his accomplices pointed out a knife and robbed his rickshaw. They also attacked the complainant resulting into injury on his back. INFORMATION & TEAM OPERATION: The Crime Branch has been diligently working to trace and apprehend wanted and absconding individuals involved in serious cases. Accused Abhishek @ Cilender, a resident of Sultanpuri, Delhi was one of such wanted criminal. He had been frequently changing his location within Delhi. Over the past 6 months, the team undertook extensive efforts to locate accused Abhishek @ Cilender @ Narender. ASI Rajender Prasad and HC Jai Prakash made technical surveillance which indicated that accused Abhishek @ Cilender is residing in the area of Sultanpuri, Delhi and they received reliable intelligence that accused would come between the area of Jalebi Chowk and Machali Chowk, Sultanpuri, Delhi. In response, a dedicated team comprising ASI Rajender, ASI Vinod Kumar and HC Jai Prakash, headed by Insp. Sanjay Kumar, under the close supervision of Sh. Ajay Kumar, ACP/WR-I was constituted by undersigned to trace and nab the absconding accused. In the late hours of night, the team conducted thorough searches of approximately 600 meters area between Jalebi Chowk and Machali Chowk, Sultanpuri, Delhi and through persistent fieldwork and technical surveillance accused was identified. Their efforts culminated in success when Abhishek @ Cilender was located in the area and was swiftly apprehended by the team. PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:- Accused Abhishek @ Cilender, was born in 1993, he completed his 10th grade at Government Boys School Sultanpuri, Delhi. He had to abandon his studies due to poverty and the negative influence of bad company. He got addicted to drugs like smack and ganja. Consequently, he started criminal activities like robbery, house theft, and snatching etc. Accused Abhishek @ Cilender's has been previously involved in 17 cases of robbery, Arms Act, house theft, MV theft etc., registered in various Police Stations of Delhi.
