The Argentine pianist once again fills the Palau de la Música Catalana with a recital for two pianos and four hands, this time with South Korean Dong-Hyek Lim. The renowned Argentine pianist, Martha Argerich, performed a four-handed and two-piano recital with South Korean pianist, Dong-Hyek Lim, on April 9 at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona. The recital was part of the Ibercamera cycle, which Argerich had returned to exactly two years after her previous performance. The recital began with a performance of Schubert’s Fantasy in F minor, D 940, with Argerich and Lim playing side by side, a scene that was described as endearing rather than ridiculous. The first part of the recital concluded with Rachmaninoff’s Suite No. 2 for two pianos, Op. 17, and after the intermission, the two pianists swapped roles to play Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances.
