The patented FIT PIT System, when installed, works off of a drainage path to a collection site beneath the elevator pit floor. The control panel, sensor and pump assembly are located outside the elevator hoistway and machine room and continuously monitor the water level within the collection site and pump any excess water to a discharge location. The FIT PIT System was designed utilizing CentAir Core™ technology. Water within the collection site is monitored at all times and those levels are continuously communicated to the FIT PIT Control Panel. This technology also allows the system to have regular testing and maintenance performed without the need to enter the pit or hoistway, thereby creating a safer work environment for routine maintenance.
