Today I want to show you an altogether different side to Bangkok than the Khaosan road, the shopping malls and the glitz of the Sukhumvit Road! Today I headed to the Wat Tha Phra area of Charan Sanit Wong Road to have perhaps the best Rad Na (gravy noodles) and Pad See Ew (fried soy sauce noodles) I've ever has in my life, cooked by Uncle Nueng (The Gravy Noodle Master). Cost: 85 THB - $2.25 Before that I had some khanom kroc (coconut puddings) which were great. Cost: 25 THB - $0.75 I finished of with a Cha Yen Thai (iced Thai tea) Cost: 25 THB - $0.75 Directions to the Noodle Master (One Rad Na Yod Pak 8) https://goo.gl/maps/3tYU4XzrCZ1V3Mbm9 This is Thai street food at its finest Pad See Ew and Rad Na are two popular dishes in Bangkok and throughout Thailand that are often found in street food stalls, restaurants and food courts. Pad See Ew is a stir-fried noodle dish made with wide, flat rice noodles, egg, vegetables such as Chinese broccoli, and a protein (usually pork). The dish is seasoned with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sometimes a little sugar. It is typically served with chilli flakes, vinegar, and fish sauce on the side to add to taste. Rad Na is a dish that features the same wide, flat rice noodles as Pad See Ew, but they are smothered in a thick gravy made from soy sauce, yellow bean sauce, garlic, and a starch like rice or tapioca to thicken the sauce. The dish usually includes the same vegetables and protein options as Pad See Ew. Rad Na is known for its rich and savoury flavour. Both Pad See Ew and Rad Na are very popular dishes in Bangkok, and they can be found in a variety of different settings. Whether you're in a food court, a street food stall, or a sit-down restaurant, you're sure to find these delicious and satisfying dishes on the menu. ________________________________________________________________________ If you’d like to support my little channel: Straight to Bank (no fees): https://monzo.me/garymarkbutler Paypal: https://paypal.me/theroamingcook https://www.buymeacoffee.com/garybutler Get a t-shirt here: https://my-store-c4478c.creator-sprin... I’m obsessed with Thai street food and it’s that obsession that led me to start this YouTube channel. I want to share my favourite hidden spots in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand so you can fall in love with authentic, local Thai food as much as I have! I’ve never understood travelling to a town or city and not eating the local food. How else do you really connect with a place? Let’s get out and explore together and I guarantee you’ll find a whole different side to this wonderful country. If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not! #bangkok2023 #thaistreetfood #bangkokstreetfood
