In this Autodesk Inventor tutorial I demonstrate a workflow called Skeleton Modeling. This creates a staircase that is completely flexible, which means that within the assembly environment of Autodesk Inventor you can drag the Sketch in order to change the dimensions of the entire Autodesk Inventor assembly. Step size, number of steps, height, length and width of the staircase will be flexible, because they are driven by dimensions and parametric formula's. This workflow is a great tool within Autodesk Inventor because of the simplicity of the model. I start off with a simple sketched part containing a few surfaces. This Autodesk Inventor Part will be the basis of the Autodesk Inventor assembly and all the other Autodesk Inventor parts of the final staircase. The flexibility is there because all the Autodesk Inventor parts are linked to the Autodesk Inventor skeleton part, which is flexible by its driven dimensions. This tutorial might seem challenging in the beginning if you are not familiar with skeleton modeling and surface modeling, but everybody with some basic knowledge of Autodesk Inventor should be able to recreate this model. So it should be a great tutorial for beginning Autodesk Inventor users, as well as experienced Autodesk Inventor users. If you have any questions about this tutorial, let me know in a comment and I'll try to respond.
