In The Punisher, players take on the role of Frank Castle, a vigilante on a mission to eliminate the crime boss Wilson Fisk, known as Kingpin, and bring justice to the city. Alongside Nick Fury, they must battle through waves of street thugs, assassins, and Kingpin's powerful henchmen to ultimately face off against Kingpin himself. The Punisher is a classic beat 'em up game where players move across 2D environments, fighting hordes of enemies using a combination of punches, kicks, and weapons found throughout the levels. Players can pick up and use knives, guns, grenades, pipes, and other items. Each character has special moves: The Punisher's Special Moves: Includes the "Skull Crusher" (a powerful ground slam) and a grenade attack for crowd control. Nick Fury's Special Moves: Features the "Combat Roll" (to dodge attacks) and explosive weaponry for wide damage. Special moves are performed by pressing the attack button in combination with a direction or a jump, and they consume a portion of the player's health, adding a risk-reward element to gameplay.
